Central Elementary R.O.A.R. Report
December 9, 2024
It's hard to believe we are close to wrapping up the first semester. Students are participating in FastBridge testing this week in reading and math. We are excited to look at the growth each student has made so far this semester and celebrate all of their hard work. Thank you for your support in your child's education.
Have a great week ahead!
Claire Heaton, Principal
Our annual Holiday Boutique will be held next week Tuesday, December 17. Students will have a chance to shop for two gifts for two special people in their life. A new addition this year- our PTO moms have been hard at work creating ornaments that students can purchase.
We are seeking donations of tissue paper to help wrap the gifts. We are also asking for pre-packaged cookie donations. At the end of shopping, students get to relax and enjoy cookies.
Gifts are $1.00 each. Students can bring in their $2.00 anytime before Tuesday.
We look forward to a great day of shopping!
We are excited to welcome author Thomas Phillip to our school on Wednesday, December 11 for our 4th and 5th grade students. Thomas Phillip is a Mark Twain nominated author, and he wrote The Curious League of Detectives and Thieves. Our 4th and 5th grade students are familiar with his books as each classroom has a set of this year's Mark Twain nominated author's books. This event is very short notice, but we are fortunate that Neighborhood Reads in Washington is providing this author visit to us at no charge. If you'd like to order a book for his visit, please see the directions above.
If you'd like to order a book please follow the directions below and make sure to add your teachers name and grade level (4th or 5th).
Lost and Found
Please help us out and write your child's name on the tag of their coats, sweatshirts, and lunchboxes. We can then easily return those items to your child when they get turned into the office.
If you notice your child is missing an item, please have your child look for it as soon as possible, or give the office a call, and we will be happy to help your child look for the item.
PTO Meeting- Jan. 21
Our next PTO meeting will be held on January 21st at 5:00 p.m. We will be planning for the Sweetheart Dance.
