A Message from our Principal, Ms. Molitor!
Work Hard - Be Yourself - Do the Right Thing
Earth Day in the Neighborhood
The students did their part to make Earth Day a success!
They got a head start on the 55th annual global celebration when they participated in a
KA Neighborhood Cleanup on April 14.
The students spread out and helped pick up debris from nearby sidewalks and parks.
KA is so grateful to the neighbors who support our school throughout the year!
Chip, Chip, Hooray!
Before the KA students were dismissed for a long weekend, they enjoyed a tasty treat together.
Thank you to the Principal's Student Cabinet for hosting Chips on the Lawn.
Spring Fling Spirit Week
The Cardinals were looking good during the week leading up to the Spring Fling Dance.
Thank you to the Student Council members for planning and executing so many fun opportunities!

Learning the KA Way
Simply the Best!
The smell of freshly baked bread and desserts filled the air,
so students from the ID/Aut program followed their noses!
They soon found themselves at Simple Simon Bakery.
As a neighborhood partner, the bakery provided a new...and delicious...learning environment.
Students worked on social skills for ordering food and taking turns.
They practiced their money management knowledge,
as well as safety awareness when inside and outside of the school.
Blast Off!
The 8th graders made rockets to test their knowledge about
laws of motion and mediums of matter.
The design portion of the challenge produced a Chicken Jockey rocket. Nice work!
Planning for the Future
KA students attended the annual Future Fox Cities Career Expo, and
they had the opportunity to meet with 70 vendors from
area companies and educational institutions.
They prepared during their Teen Choices classes,
and they developed their own academic and career plans.
Then, they were able to meet with targeted vendors and practice important life skills,
such as giving a proper handshake and using good body language and eye contact.
BIG News in the Gym
The Omnikin ball was a HUGE hit in class!
The KA 7th graders used the ball as part of the volleyball unit's culminating activity! So fun!
Look What We Found!
The 6th grade encore math students participated in a scavenger hunt by
solving multiplication and long division problems
with clues hidden around the classroom, in the hallway, or in different classrooms.
Artistic Expression
KA's Got Talent!
The stage was theirs, and they dazzled the audience at this year's Talent Show!
Students shared their many incredible talents:
reading original poetry, singing, acting, playing instruments, and dancing.
Thank you to the KA Improv students for hosting this spectacular event.

Summer School Opportunities
Nuts and Bolts
So Much More than Yes or No
Here are some things to ask your child instead of "Did you have a good day at school?"
- What was the best thing that happened today?
- Who did you spend time with today?
- What was the funniest thing that happened today?
- What books did you read today?
- What did you do at recess?
- What was the most difficult thing you encountered today?
- What act of kindness did you complete today?
- What are you looking forward to tomorrow?
Enjoy your daily conversations with your child! #middleschoolstrong
Nurse News
Summer is approaching! It is time to think about scheduling your student's well-child visit and make sure they are up to date on vaccines. The Wisconsin Immunization Law requires that all students through grade 12 meet a minimum number of required immunizations prior to school attendance. These requirements can be waived only for health, religious or personal conviction reasons.
Please Help Us Keep the Students Safe!
Families that drive their students to school in the morning are encouraged to use extra caution!
Use the drop-off lane in front of the school on Brewster Street. Pull up as far as possible.
Students should exit the vehicles onto the sidewalk rather than the street. Drivers should carefully re-enter the traffic lane. Families that want to sit in the vehicles with their students should park on a nearby street until the bell rings.
