A huge thank you to all the students and families who generously supported the recent food drive organized by our Middle School Student Leadership Council (SLC). Your contributions truly made a difference!
This year, we collected an incredible 1,739 items, all of which will directly benefit our community through the Grocery Garage at City Impact.
📦 Items Collected by Grade:
- 6th Grade: 724
- 7th Grade: 866
- 8th Grade: 149
🏆 A special shout-out to Mrs. Blauw’s 4th-hour class for bringing in the most items—an amazing 290 donations!
Thank you for coming together to make a positive impact in our community! ❤️
Mini Fall Spirit Week!
Monday: Detroit Lions Day – Wear your favorite Lions gear or colors to show your pride!
Tuesday: Adam Sandler Day – Dress like the iconic, comfy, oversized outfit-loving Adam Sandler!
Let’s have some fun and show our spirit during Mini Fall Spirit Week! 🍁💙🦁
Last Call for Lego Donations!
We’re still accepting gently used Lego donations for our Student Center, where they’ll help spark creativity during indoor recess. If you’d like to contribute, please drop off your donations at the Middle School Office through the end of November, between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.
A huge thank-you to the parents who have already donated—your support is appreciated! 🧱✨
Winter Wishes for Red Hawks – Bringing Joy to Our Students
This holiday season, Cedar Springs Public Schools warmly invites you to be part of our beloved tradition: Winter Wishes for Red Hawks. Since 1995, this program has brought joy and comfort to students in our district, honoring the legacy of Sandy Samsel, who dedicated herself to making the holidays brighter for our Red Hawks.
How You Can Help:
Your generous donations ensure every Red Hawk receives a special gift this holiday season. There are several ways you can support this program:
Select an item from our wish list – find specific items that students need and will enjoy!
Make a donation – even a few dollars can make a big impact.
Choose from our giving tree – pick a tag and fulfill a student’s holiday wish.
Sponsor a student or family – provide direct support to make the holidays magical for our Cedar Springs families.
Every Gift Counts!
Whether big or small, every contribution helps us bring smiles to students’ faces and fill their hearts with warmth.
PBIS Spotlight
Recently, Mr. VanHam rewarded a student for "staying back to stack chairs when everyone else forgot," and Mrs. Ostling recognized a student for "being engaged in class and coming up with additional ways to solve problems." Keep up the great work, Red Hawks!
