From the Desk of Russ Booth
June 9th, 2024
Even with graduation behind us, there was a lot going on at MHS this past week. All of our grade 9 students took the Biology MCAS, we hosted our annual Underclass Awards Night, and we also held a pep-rally for our Special Olympic athletes who had a great day for the annual event. The rally was a great way to kick off the day, as the packed gym cheered loudly for all the competitors as they were announced. Our own Luke Barry was incredible as he sang the National Anthem to kick off the event!
We also unveiled our refreshed logo during the rally on Friday morning. Our students were loud, proud, and enthusiastic about the updated logo, and many were able to snag a t-shirt that were being thrown into the crowd by some of our best buddies volunteers. Be on the lookout for an official press release from MPS that will provide more details about the process we went through and the roll a group of our students played in everything.
This is the last full week of school, with final exams starting on Thursday, June 13th. Families are reminded to check below for the exam schedule, and please note that students are expected to leave the school grounds once they have completed their exams for the day, unless they have scheduled time with a teacher to make something up.

Annual Special Olympics Games
This past Friday we hosted our annual Special Olympics games at MHS. Athletes from the Robinson, JJ, QMS, and MHS all completed hard, tried to stay cool, and enjoyed pizza and ice cream during the event! Congratulations to all the athletes who competed during the event, and a huge thank you to the best buddies partners and all the staff who helped make the incredible event happen!
