Principal's Message
Hello Panther Families,
As Teacher/Staff Appreciation week is upon us, I would like to take a moment to recognize and thank all our Panther Teachers and staff for their vital role in supporting our students with academics, behavior, and social-emotional learning. Our Panther team comes to school ready to work and give it their best to support our students. Thank you for all that you do! That being said, if you would like to participate in one or some of the suggestions for Teacher/Staff appreciation, feel free to do so.πππΎ
This week we will begin the State testing of CAASPP/SBAC for our third through sixth grade students. The CAASPP (California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress) is a state-mandated standardized testing system in California that assesses students' knowledge and skills in English language arts, mathematics, and science. It's designed to measure how well students are achieving the state's academic standards. Let's prepare our Panthers to be successful during this time, below are some pointers to support.
Prepare for the Test Day:
- Get Enough Sleep: Remind students to get a good night's sleep before the test.
- Eat a Nutritious Breakfast: Encourage students to eat a healthy breakfast on the morning of the test.
- Comfortable Environment: Ensure students have a comfortable and well-lit space to take the test.
- Pack Materials: Make sure students have all the necessary materials, such as pencils, erasers, and any other permitted items.
Police Officer:
Many parents have asked if there have been incidents as Parkview due to seeing the police, to put everyone at ease, the police officer that has been at Parkview is our School Resource Officer (SRO). Her name is Officer Valenzuela and she supports our school with traffic control, student safety, student connections, and so much more. If you see her on campus, don't be afraid to say hello.
