Message from the Principal
I hope this message finds you well as we navigate another exciting week at BHS. Our students continue to demonstrate dedication, resilience, and a commitment to excellence—qualities that will guide them toward success both in and out of the classroom. Students did a great job during the Road to Canal Cup Spirit Week with rally on Friday before the hockey game Saturday, the precursor to a repeat WIN at this year's game against Sandwich.
This week, I want to highlight the importance of staying focused as we approach the 100th day of school on February 6th! Just as a lighthouse provides direction for ships at sea, our teachers, staff, and families serve as beacons of support for our students. Let’s continue to work together to ensure they remain on course toward their academic and personal goals. Please review the report cards that were sent out Friday and if you like what you see, keep on that path! If not, now is the time to correct the course so that you can get to the final destination by the end of the school year- it's not too late!
Also, please take a moment to consider all that BHS has to offer by way of Advanced Placement, elective courses, and pathways. As counselors engage students in conversations about next school year, so too should we all be connecting with students to make sure they are on the path that best helps them meet and exceed their future goals.
As always, I encourage you to stay engaged and reach out with any questions or concerns. We would love to see parents and guardians at an in-person Coffee with Caregivers event on Tuesday, 2/11 at 8 a.m. In addition, information for Parent/Teacher Conferences will be sent home this week. Your partnership is invaluable as we work to create a positive and enriching learning environment for all and your feedback is always welcome.
Wishing you a fantastic week ahead!
Yours in Education,
Dr. Maguire

Chemistry students colored in the groups of the periodic table and continued to model the major periodic trends, namely ionization energy in these photos. Engineering students are working hard to build marble roller coaster using orthographic templates and challenging themselves to building with only paper and tape! Members of STEAM club are also pictured making play dough to support our electrical circuit activity of making game controllers with Makey Makey circuit boards.
