Parents and families of Juniors - save the date and plan to join us on Tuesday, October 22 from 6-7 pm in the LCHS Auditorium for Junior Class Parent Night. We will provide information about academic planning, SAT/ACT, college plans, dual enrollment, and more to help your junior be ready for their busy senior year.

Parents and families of Juniors- counselors will begin meeting with juniors for individual academic conferences starting October 28-November 15. Conferences have been scheduled during one of your student's non-academic classes. They will receive their appointment slip through one of their elective teachers the week of Oct. 21st. Check with your student for their appointment date and time, parents are welcome to attend the scheduled conference.

What is the Governor's Honors Program?

The GHP is an all-expenses paid, 4 week summer residential program living on campus at Georgia Southern University where a student will deeply explore topics in an academic or creative chosen field with other talented students from around the state.

GHP is open to sophomores or juniors that exhibit an undeniable level of passion in their preferred subject, and an appetite to learn on a deeper level that cannot always be fully satisfied in a high school classroom. GHP caliber students will find ways to study and explore their subjects independently of a classroom environment, at times despite a lack of resources.
