Leavers Dinner
On Monday night the Year 13s celebrated their final year at Fiordland College with their families and teachers. It was a great opportunity to hear a snapshot of their time here, as told by one of their teachers. I really enjoyed the way each of the students was celebrated for their achievements, wished well for their next step, and in most cases, gently reminded them of some of their more amusing moments at school. A big thank you to Devon Crouchley for organising such a fantastic event.
Board Meeting
The Board met last night and I shared information regarding the 10 Year Property Plan, which included a vision for learning at Fiordland College that has a focus on choice, community and collaboration. The board was also presented with an update on the Whitiki te Huarere / Energy Park project. It was great to see plans for a potential learning space that meets the school's desire to be a leader in sustainable education.
