Big thanks to Bradbury Science Museum and Los Alamos National Laboratory for bringing the "Challenge Tomorrow" trailer to HMS! Our students had a fantastic time exploring the interactive exhibits covering Earth, materials, health, and space. We were thrilled to be included in their first stop to Southern New Mexico!

The Alamogordo Kiwanis Club is recognizing the Most Improved Student of the

Month. The most improved student is chosen by each of the school faculty. The

criteria for each school selection is based on attitude, behavior, school involvement, and

grades. Dominos Pizza, The Bluestone, Caliche’s and KHII / KTMN Radio/Pizza 9

joins the Alamogordo Kiwanis Club in congratulating these students. The following

students were honored for the months of FEBRUARY.

Parents/Guardians and Students, please look for this email, “SY 2025 - 2026 7th/8th Grade Elective Choice Instructions.” It has instructions on how to select Electives through PowerSchool for next school year. REMEMBER THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT ELECTIVE CHOICES THROUGH POWERSCHOOL, IS MARCH 21, 2025. Please note, you are still required to complete the Google form previously emailed (Deadline, March 15).

* Grade 7 or 8 PowerSchool Request Screens to Select Elective Choices will open on Mar 3 until Mar 21.

Sports:

1. Las Cruces Public Schools has a CLEAR BAG policy at all games. This includes each High School, and their Field of Dreams complex -- Softball, Baseball, Soccer, & FB Stadium.

2. They too have CASHLESS tickets. They use GOFAN for their digital ticketing.

3. They are NOW charging for entry into their TRACK meets. Adults only. Students & kids are still free.
