Meet Monica Centracchio (Srta. C) 👋
Hola, me llamo Monica Centracchio (Srta. C), and I have proudly served the Madison School District for 23 years. I began my career at the elementary level, teaching at TJS and KRS for seven years before spending the next 16 years at MJS. Now, I am thrilled to return to elementary education at CAS, where I couldn’t be happier! As a world traveler who grew up in various countries and continents, my passion has always been romance languages. I speak Italian and Spanish fluently and studied French for five years. I believe in the importance of languages both in our country and around the world. Outside the classroom, I am an avid horseback rider, and if I had the chance, I would own a farm with rescued animals of all kinds. I’m excited to embark on this new adventure and have been so impressed by the students' motivation and sweetness.
I can't wait to see what this year will bring! Email: centracchiom@madisonnjps.org

Blue Tiger Reading Challenge 📘📘
The Blue Tiger Reading Challenge kicks off on October 1st! Students should have received their first calendar of the year this week in school!
Just a reminder how this competition works: the entire school is broken up into 4 teams. Students will keep track on the calendar how much they are reading at home each night. At the end of the month, they will submit their minutes to Mr. Paradiso on the monthly google form. This form can be found here, in their library google classroom, in the PTO newsletter, or on the CAS library website. Whatever team reads the most minutes each month will win a custom 3D printed keychain, courtesy of Mrs. Walch. We are also working together as a school to see if we can beat our score from last year, which was 1,080,788 minutes.
Please try to encourage your students to participate in this fun challenge, and Mr. Paradiso will send reminders near the end of each month to remind students/parents to submit their minutes on the Google form. Please contact Mr. Paradiso with any questions!
Reminder Bus Transportation 🚌
Reminder: If your child is not taking the bus, please contact Bill Gilbert in transportation and Kristin Kelly in CAS office if your child will not be taking the bus.
