Last chance: Transportation Lost and Found
The Department of Transportation has compiled lost and found items from buses this season. Since these items cannot be traced back to individual buildings, families with missing items are encouraged to visit the Operations Center Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at 1255 Tefft Court through December 20.
Drop Off and Pick Up Issues
Our parking lots see more than a thousand cars each day. There are also 1600 students plus our consortium guests who walk through them. It is ALL of our responsibility to keep them safe.
Follow the yellow arrows in the graphic below for drop off and pick up loops.
On the west side, cars should NOT be parked in the dotted lined areas against the boulevard at any point during school drop off or pick up time. This space is required for cars to drive through.
After picking up your student, proceed all the way to the stadium end of the lot and turn left to exit the lot. A u-turn in the lot is dangerous and could result in an accident or harm to our students and staff.
It is imperative that we all do our part to keep these areas safe. Thank you for your attention to this.
Drop off loops
Please follow the yellow arrows for our student drop-off loops. Red "X" and blue "*" areas are not for pick-up or drop off UNLESS you are dropping off a student with special needs.
Please contact school administration if you have any questions.
Drop off/Pick up
We continue to have parents wait to pick up students in the staff/special needs lot (see diagram below). It is imperative that pickups happen in the north loop on the east side if you are picking your students up before the end of the day.
In addition, students who have placement during the day that return to SHS should not be parking in this lot.
On the west side, the spots with dotted lines that are in the drop off loop are not for parking during school hours.
We will periodically have monitors out to help instruct those who are in the wrong area for pickup.
Thank you for your attention to this.

Holiday Message to District Parents - Host Family Opportunities Available!
Do you have an interest in learning another culture while sharing America with an excited teen whose dream it is to study abroad? Do you have an extra bedroom or a room a student can share with your teen? If so, becoming an Educatius host family might be a great role for you!
Educatius, the world’s largest organization helping international high school students across the world study abroad for 20+ years, is partnering with Saline High School, and we are qualifying families now to serve in this role for next school year – 2025-2026!
Click here to learn how you can expand your family by saying YES this holiday season and “unlock your world” by hosting an international student!
Families who host through Educatius receive a monthly stipend to offset the costs, training and dedicated, local support throughout the year, and students come with their own spending money and health insurance and pay tuition to our school partners, bringing cultural diversity and financial support into the communities they call home (less than a year commitment that will create memories for a lifetime).
If you are interested in learning more about our program or signing up early to become a host family for the 2025-26 school year, please contact Local Coordinator, Jyl Nolan, at (262) 468-8035 or at jylnolan.educatius@gmail.com.
