Easily, a top 5 tool for me and a big student favorite!

A few tools come along that change the game for educators. Google, pencils, the abacus, you know, the standards.

When I list the tech tools I use regularly within education for teaching and coaching, Canva usually rounds out my top 3. Its ease of use, accessibility, and plethora of templates is unmatched. Shoot, about 50% of the content of this newsletter was generated with Canva.

Canva is by far one of the most complete creation tools that any EC-12 educator can use all premium content for free (make sure you verify yourself as an educator first) with their students, to better communicate with families & stakeholders, or to collaborate as a team.

What can I use Canva for?

Anything.

But honestly, there is so much flexibility to what you can create within their ecosystem.

Presentations, websites, digital whiteboarding, videos, documents, infographics, magazines, calendars, worksheets, breakout rooms, anchor charts, website embeds.

I could keep typing, but the fun is how you can use it in your current content area.

Canva offers not only offers their own image generators that can clean up images and generate new ones, but also use Google Imagen or Open AI's DALL-E 2 within their Magic Studio!

Schoology with Canva

Although there's still some work to be done with Canva's Schoology integration to help with grading and rostering, you can still use it easily by adding them to your class (optional, but it opens up the premium license for them) and also adding template links to Schoology assignments.
