Spring is around the corner, Senator Families!
Just a few short weeks ago, we finally got real snow here in Arkansas and what fun our students had playing in the winter wonderland. Now, as I type this newsletter and look outside, it is absolutely gorgeous! I love Arkansas weather coming from the Midwest.
So, let’s chat about the fact that we have about 3 months left in this school year. With the time left this school year, each department has been busy finalizing our game plan to end the year well! Our School Leadership Team is also looking at the best approach for ensuring that we have focused work as students prep for ACT Aspire Summative Assessments.
We know that all schools in Arkansas receive a School Report Card grade based on several factors surrounding student academic performance, attendance, discipline, and other critical measures. Even in the midst of the pandemic, we want our students to do their very best on the upcoming Act Aspire Assessments. Capturing the true picture of where we stand as a school allows us to determine opportunities for improvement as we continue to strive for excellence at RMS.
The RMS team needs the support of our families as we begin to cross this finish line. All hands on deck means students, teachers, and families working in collaboration to attain our goal of ending the year academically strong! On the bottom of the newsletter is the RMS ACT Test Tips for families.
Lastly, I want to give a shout to the students on their wonderful performance in writing, singing, dancing during the RMS Black History Celebration. What amazing Senators we have, you can check out the video of the celebration below.
