Dear VAP Families,

I hope you are enjoying the beginning of a new school year as much as we are. Our students have jumped right back into their routines with enthusiasm and energy, and it has been heartening to see their bright smiles. The recent cooler weather has been a welcome change, but it also means our mornings can be quite chilly. Please ensure that your child comes to school with a sweater or jacket to stay warm during those brisk mornings.

Looking ahead, we are excited to host our K-5 Back to School Night this Wednesday, September 18, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. The event will kick off in the gym, and we encourage all parents to join us for an evening of engaging activities and information. It’s a great opportunity to meet with teachers, learn more about the curriculum and what’s in store for this school year.

In other news, we have begun taking orders for our annual VAP Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirt. This is a meaningful way to support a great cause, and we hope many of you will participate. Please make sure to fill out the order form by Wednesday, September 18th to ensure your child's shirt is included in this year’s campaign.

If you ordered tickets for the Padres game on September 22nd, please keep an eye out this week for an email notification. We will let families who ordered tickets know once they've arrived and are available for pick-up in the office.

We will also be conducting our first fire drill of the year next week. Please make sure to take a moment to discuss safety drills with your child to help them feel more confident and prepared.

It’s time to order our annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month t-shirt, designed by Stadium Designs! Students who purchase a shirt will be able to wear it every Friday in October. To order one for your child, please fill out the order form by Wednesday, September 18th. Each shirt is $15. Payments will be processed through Alma and proceeds will be donated to Michelle’s Place. Thank you for supporting this important cause!

School picture day is coming up on Tuesday, September 24th! Please make sure your child adheres to our school’s dress code and appearance guidelines, and arrives in their dress uniform.

Paper copies of the order form are also available at the front office.

Please note the following important information regarding tuition payments:

• Late Fee: If your tuition is not paid by the 5th of the month, a non-reversible late $50 fee will be applied on the 6th.
• Payment Plans: If your tuiton balance remains unpaid by the 15th of the month and no prior payment arrangement has been made with the office, your child will not be able to attend school until a payment plan is established or the balance is settled.

Rita's Italian Ice will now be visiting our campus on Friday, September 27th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Kindergarten through 2nd grade students must be accompanied by a parent to attend this event. For 3rd through 8th graders, staff will be available to guide them through the experience.

Please bring $5-$10 in cash for each child who wishes to enjoy this delicious Italian ice.
