• 3rd Place 5th Grade Essay Contest
• African American Heritage Principal of the Year

During the month of February, our students learned about kindness, empathy, compassion, and friendship. Earlier this month, we talked about Random Acts of Kindness Week. Each classroom was paired with another in a "top secret" kindness challenge. Students took time to shower their matched classrooms with love and kindness. Actions included helping them open their milks in the cafeteria to letting them go first at the water fountain. Our Dolphins took great pride in spreading kindness and filling each other's buckets. Durante el mes de febrero, nuestros estudiantes aprendieron sobre la amabilidad, la empatía, la compasión y la amistad. A principios de este mes, hablamos sobre la Semana de Actos de Amabilidad al Azar. Cada aula se emparejó con otra en un desafío de amabilidad "ultrasecreto". Los estudiantes se tomaron el tiempo para colmar de amor y amabilidad a sus aulas emparejadas. Las acciones incluyeron ayudarlos a abrir sus vasos de leche en la cafetería y dejarlos ir primero en la fuente de agua. The Central Texas Food Bank’s social services team is continuing to assist clients with applying for SNAP (along with Medicaid, TANF, Healthy Texas Women, Medicare Savings Program, CHIP and CHIP Perinatal). We offer help with applications remotely and on-site. Our offices are located at 6500 Metropolis Drive, Austin, Texas 78744.

For the safety of our staff and the community we serve, we have implemented social distancing models and can see a limited number of clients at one time on-site at the Food Bank. To get help with applications on-site, please call our hotline to make an appointment first at 855-366-3401.
