Direct Admit Wisconsin Program
Junior Families - The time is here for you to opt in or opt out to the Direct Admit Wisconsin program. Again, this program is a partnership with the University of Wisconsin system that streamlines the college application process for your child. If you choose to participate in the program, the district will share some specific information from your child’s record with the University of Wisconsin system. Then, the universities that are participating will be able to decide if they can offer your child a direct admission offer which will allow you to bypass the traditional application process. Details regarding the program can be found here.
Early next week, you will receive an email with a link to the opt in/opt out form in Infinite Campus. This form will detail the specific information that the district will be sharing with the University of Wisconsin system if you choose to participate. Please read the form carefully in Infinite Campus and select your choice for opting in or out of the program. The deadline to opt in to the program is May 1, 2025. If you have questions regarding the program, contact your child’s counselor.
ACT Corner
A Good ACT Score Can Save You $!
Scholarships – Many colleges offer merit-based scholarships for a combination of GPA and ACT. Some states also have automatic scholarships based on ACT performance. These scholarships can help save tens of thousands of dollars.
Tuition Discounts – Some schools offer in-state tuition rates or reduced fees to out-of-state students with high ACT scores.
Fewer Remedial Classes – A good ACT score can exempt you from remedial courses, which cost money but don’t count toward your degree. The sooner you finish, the more money you save!
Military Job Placement – Students who are able to show academic strength on standardized tests can earn up to $50,000 in signing bonuses for high demand positions.
First One is Free - The statewide exam on 3/11 is free of charge to all students. Retaking the ACT can cost students up to $100 plus the time required to retake the entire test.
