Principal's Message
Dear Alta Mesa Families,
It's hard to believe that we are in the final days of September. Here's to hoping the fall weather will come soon!
- Mr. Havlina is starting his 4/5 Basketball Camp. Permission slips will be available in the office starting tomorrow and are due back on Friday, October 4th. Look at the flyer below for more information on times and dates.
- This is the final week for our Riffle Raffle fundraiser. All tickets are due by Friday, October 4th. All sold and unsold tickets have to be returned. Here's to getting those last tickets sold!
- Our runners did such a great job at our home Cross Country meet. This week K-5 Cross Country meet is at Parsons. Only a few more weeks of the season!
- The Shasta County Office of Education is hosting an internet safety discussion on October 3rd from 6-7. This informational evening will give parents tips on how to keep their child safe online. Food and childcare will be provided.
- The Alta Mesa Booster Club is hosting our Fall Carnival on October 25 from 5-7. Each classroom will be collecting candy. The class with the most candy donations will get a class ice cream party. Please see flyer below for more information.
- Any 4th and 5th grade student who wants to join the student leadership team applications are due on Thursday, October 3rd.
- There is no Garden Club this week.

Riffle Raffle
All tickets are due Friday, October 4th! Please make sure all tickets are turned in by Friday!
The Riffle Raffle is our classroom teachers main fundraiser for the year. The ticket sales are facilitated by our Alta Mesa Parent Club. If you are interested in selling tickets, please sign the ticket request form that will go home with your student.
All proceeds go to the classroom teachers Booster Club account to be used for many things including field trips and the purchase of classroom materials.
LEADERIZE Alta Mesa
For the month of October, we will focus on Habit #2: Begin with the End in Mind. More information to come on this habit next week.

Atla Mesa Family Game Night is back and it's going to be a great night! Please join us Tuesday, October 1st from 5:30pm - 7:00pm for games, pizza, and lots of laughs! We will be raffling off board games so don't miss out!

Fall Picture Retake Day ~ October 11th
Friday, October 11th is Fall Picture Retake Day. Please make sure you connect with your teacher if your student needs to have their picture retaken. Our teachers will have a list of students who were absent during the original fall pictures but will not know if students need their picture retaken for any other reason so please connect with them!
Fall Carnival ~ October 25th
Alta Mesa's Fall Carnival, hosted by Booster Club, is back and we are so excited! Mark it down on your calendars, Friday October 25th from 5:00-7:00.
Booster Club is requesting candy donations! The class with the most candy donations will win an ice cream party!
