LEAVE IT BETTER THAN YOU SEE IT
FINAL WEEK
I honestly can't believe this is the final Lion Update of the year! This is a crazy time of year finishing up school, getting ready for graduation, planning Summer School, and working toward next year. We had a great year because of the amazing kids and the incredible staff at RCHS!! I wish everyone a great and relaxing summer. I am already looking forward to August 11. The FIRST MONDAY of the 2025/2026 School Year!!!
GREATNESS FROM STAFF AND STUDENTS
Memorial Day Tribute
Ms. McDermott blessed RCHS with another touching tribute. Friday morning Ms. McDermott came over the P.A. and honored the fallen heroes of our armed services. She reminded everyone what Memorial Day is all about. Thank you Ms. McDermott for all of your great tributes you have brought to us this year!
Freshman Orientation
Freshman Orientation is a summer event that takes place every year before the school year begins. We will get more reminders out as the date gets closer but we wanted to put this on your radar now. Have a great summer!!
KFC Kids
Mr. Orme presented his KFC (Kids for Careers) students with certificates today! These students have visited and facilitated career readiness lessons to different elementary schools. They have also helped out with our college and career fair at the high school! We are excited to see what exciting activities these students come up with for next year!
EMS WEEK
EMS week is May 18-24. Thankful for Mr. Hufford teaching our students and providing the amazing opportunities our students have!

SPECIAL SHOUT OUT
The Class of 2025
The class of 2025 counted down to their final High School bell. This is always a moment that brings a lot of emotion for the kids. It has been an absolute privilege to be their principal for the past 2 year. Graduation is Sunday June 1 at 8:00 PM on the football field. It is not goodbye it is see you later!
Diane Personett
Mrs. Personett is retiring after 38 years in education. The amazing part of her career is that ALL 38 years have been spent at RCHS!! She has taught side by side with Mrs. Wainwright for the past 30 years and will be missed. The great thing about it is Mrs. Personett will be returning to RCHS next year as a part time teacher. So I guess we can say see you in August!!
ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT
Brittany Harcourt
RCHS Alumni spotlight for the week is 2012 graduate, Brittany Harcourt. She graduated from Franklin College with a Health Science major and a minor in Business. For a few years, she was an on-site health coach and has ultimately progressed into owning her own business, Wellness Innovation Tools! Her advice to students is that she didn't even know her current job existed until she worked several other jobs. Don't feel that you need to know what your dream job is in order to work towards it. Thanks, Brittany!
