You are Invited to Lunch!
Beginning February 1, you are invited to have lunch with your child in the Highland lunchroom! No need for parents/guardians to notify us in advance, just come to the office, sign in, and join your child in the lunchroom. (If a grandparent or another trusted adult wants to come, please do notify the office in advance of their arrival so we know you have given permission.)
This makes a nice birthday treat on your child's birthday, or a special surprise on a day you happen to have off of work, or really for no particular reason at all...we'd love to have you any day. It is fun opportunity to get a little glimpse into your child's day at school.
We are not able to provide you with lunch but feel free to bring your own and sit with your child and their friends during this social time of the day.
(Younger siblings are welcome if they can remain seated next to you the whole time.)
Here's the schedule of lunch times:
Kindergarten--11:25-11:50 am
1st grade--11:35 am-noon
2nd grade --12:05-12:30 pm
3rd grade--12:35-12:55 pm
4th grade--12:40-1:00 pm
5th grade--12:10-12:30 pm
We hope you will have the opportunity to come for lunch!

Plan Ahead for Summer Fun: Skokie Park District Camps
As winter’s chill sets in, it’s the perfect time to think ahead and start planning for your child’s summer adventures! The Skokie Park District offers a variety of enriching and exciting camps that are sure to keep kids engaged, active, and entertained. These camps are extremely popular and tend to fill up quickly, so early preparation is key.
To make the registration process smooth, ensure you have an active park district account and familiarize yourself with the steps to enroll. On February 5th, the Skokie Park District will host a Camp Open House where staff will explain the registration process, provide program details, and answer any questions you may have.
In the meantime, you can get a head start by reviewing the Skokie Park District’s camp guide, HERE. With careful planning, you’ll be all set to secure the perfect summer experience for your child!
Don’t miss out—mark your calendars and get ready for the summer!
