Proper Footwear in PE
As the weather warms up, please ensure your student is wearing appropriate footwear to PE class. It is unsafe for students to wear slippers, slides, sandals, crocs, and boots with heels to PE. Starting on Monday, if a student wears unsafe shoes to PE they will only be allowed to walk during class time. We appreciate your cooperation with keeping our students safe at school.
Archer Glen Food Drive
Archer Glen is hosting a food drive to stock the shelves of the Willowbrook Food Pantry. The food drive is from May 6 to 17, which will help Willowbrook feed families throughout the summer. During the drive, students will learn about the important role of food pantries and how they can help those in need in their own communities with compassion and understanding. Students can drop off donations in the collection bins located in each pod at any time during the May 6 to 17 window. See the special edition newsletter for more information.
If you are a family who experiences food insecurity and would like help, please don't hesitate to reach out to our School Counselor, Dr. Stere, at hstere@sherwood.k12.or.us or 503-825-5104.

Parent Input in Class Placement
Each spring, placement teams begin the process of developing the next year's class rosters. Placement teams take great care to consider a number of factors that contribute to the success of each child, including social, emotional, and academic factors. Teams also consider factors that lead to balanced classrooms that benefit all students, such as balancing class size, academic strengths and goals, and behavioral and work habits. Placement teams include your child's teacher, other grade level teachers, specialists, counselor, principal, and other staff knowledgeable of your child and your child's grade level peers.
If you would like to provide input to the placement team, please fill out the form linked below by May 12th. Requests for specific teachers are not considered as a part of the placement process.
Class Placement Input for Parents / Guardian

New App for Student Transportation: My Ride K-12
This spring, the Ride 360 app that our district uses to provide families with student transportation information will be replaced by a new app called My Ride K-12. This new app can be downloaded now in the Apple and Android app stores at the links below.
The Ride360 app will be discontinued during the month of May. In order to continue receiving up-to-date information about your student's bus transportation, you will need to download the My Ride K-12 app as soon as possible.
Once you have downloaded the new My Ride K-12 app, you will use your existing Ride360 log-in credentials to access the new app. No further sign-up is needed - all of your student's information, including route, will automatically transfer over to the new app!
For questions or assistance with the new My Ride K-12 app, please contact our Transportation Department at 503-825-5900 or by email at transport@sherwood.k12.or.us
