From Individual Creativity to Collective Beauty
The Art Abilities class at Kimberly High School has recently completed a remarkable mural project on the first floor of the high school, showcasing both individual creativity and collaborative effort. With the help of volunteer Lilly Schaefer, who cut out wooden flowers, our students and those who work with them have brought these shapes to life using a variety of art materials. The centerpiece is a powerful message: "We are each unique and beautiful, but together we are a masterpiece." This mural not only brightens up our school environment but also serves as a daily reminder of the power of teamwork and creativity.
Middle School Hosts Regional Spelling Bee
JR Gerritts Middle School (JRG) recently hosted this year's CESA 6 Regional Spelling BEE! Forty-two top spellers from area schools competed to advance to the Badger State Spelling BEE in Madison. The Spelling Bee competition is for students in grades 4 through 8. The competition helps students improve their spelling, increase their vocabulary, learn concepts, and develop correct English usage. It became clear that the top spellers had practiced countless hours and learned much about definitions, word origins, and parts of speech.
Kimberly Area School District students Kaashvi Kasera of JRG and Mason Bergwall of Woodland Intermediate were among the students who placed in the competition. We wish continued success to those advancing further and excellent effort by all participants! Buzz over to our district facebook page to view more photos from the Bee!
