Molnar's Community Update
August 30, 2024
Operation Gratitude
Operation Gratitude is well known for sending thousands of care packages each year to deployed troops, veterans, recruit graduates, first responders, and wounded heroes & their caregivers. One of the most cherished items in the care packages are the personal letters of appreciation.
Last year, our district participated in Operation Gratitude in partnership with the Amherst Public Library, delivering over 1,000 personal letters and pictures to deployed troops and veterans!
The library contacted us to let us know that they would be participating again this year, and our district was excited to participate. Thank you to the Amherst Public Library for providing this opportunity for our community and for providing special paper and pens for our Comets to create pictures and letters of encouragement. Please see the photos below of our Nord Comets in Mrs. Born, Mrs. Liming, and Mrs. Ehrhardt's team writing letters and drawing pictures for Operation Gratitude.
Click the link below that explains the Operation Gratitude program guidelines if you and your family would like to participate with us this year. All letters or pictures can be dropped off at the library by October 31st.
Important Information for Parents
We wanted to take a moment to inform you about the district's responsibilities under Ohio Senate Bill 29, a law designed to protect student privacy.
In compliance with this law, the district generally monitors all school-related technology resources to ensure they are being used safely and appropriately.
Data collected through this monitoring is strictly limited to educational purposes and student safety and is done with your child’s privacy and security in mind.
If you have any questions regarding the use of school technology resources and how we are complying with Senate Bill 29, contact Doug Cogdell, Technology supervisor, or Mackenzie Hall, Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
Thank you for your continued support as we work to provide a safe and effective learning environment for your child.
