Our District Promise
Every student in the Stanwood-Camano School District is empowered to learn in an inclusive setting and is prepared for the future of their choice.
Principal Message
Dear Elger Bay Elementary Families,
Last Friday, our Elger Bay alumni returned to school for the Roots to Wings event, a heartwarming tradition that takes place just before graduation. This annual celebration is a wonderful opportunity for our current students to honor and celebrate our soon-to-be graduates, treating them like the celebrities they are.
The day was filled with nostalgia. Students enjoyed playing parachute games with Mr. Blom, sharing smiles and laughter as they played games on the playground. They also indulged in Lunchable snacks. One of the highlights of the day was the chance for graduates to reconnect with their former teachers, reminiscing about their journey and the memories they made at Elger Bay.
A special thank you goes out to our PTA for their tremendous support in making this event memorable for our graduates. Their dedication and hard work ensure that traditions like Roots to Wings continue to be a highlight of the Elger Bay experience.
We are incredibly proud of our graduates and excited to see where their wings will take them next. Congratulations to the Class of 2024!
Best regards,
Tim Dickinson
Principal

New summer EBT program available
The state is launching a new Summer EBT program, also known as "SUN Bucks."
This new grocery benefits program that provides families $120 for each eligible school-aged child to buy groceries when school is out.
Summer is a time when many children lose the free and reduced-price meals they get at school, and when households might need a little extra help putting meals on the table. Most families will get these benefits automatically, but some parents will need to apply.
Learn more about SUN Bucks online HERE.
Additionally, learn more about our local Free Summer Meals program and Stanwood-Camano Food Bank services on our Food Services Department webpage.
