Established on July 1, 1974, this school year, the Conejo Valley Unified School District celebrates 50 years of providing exceptional educational experiences to all students! From a vast ranch land to one of the most distinguished and awarded districts in California, we cherish the nurturing, innovative, and premier learning community we have built over the past five decades.

Throughout our history, we have taken pride in the pivotal role our school district plays in equipping the children of this community with the tools, resources and knowledge necessary to achieve the future of their dreams.

As we look forward to the next 50 years of service, it’s only fitting that we reflect on the history of our district and its origins that are our foundation. Thank you to our incredible teachers, administrators, staff members, students, families and volunteers for being an intrinsic part of what makes the CVUSD the special place it is to learn and grow!

Families are invited to our CVUSD TK & Kindergarten Virtual Information Night on Tuesday, January 21st at 6pm to learn about enrollment processes, child care opportunities and what they and their child can expect when they begin their path to educational excellence with CVUSD.

Save the Date: On Monday, January 27th, Online Enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year for new TK-12 CVUSD students will open! On/after that date, families may proceed to the online pre-enrollment website and click on the "Online New Student Enrollment" button to begin the enrollment process for their *new* to CVUSD student.

*Important Note: If your child is currently enrolled in a CVUSD school, you do not need to complete the online Pre-Enroll process to go to the next grade level. All currently enrolled students will receive Annual Updates information prior to the start of the 2025-2026 school year.

The CVUSD community is invited to join the District’s Instructional Services team for the second of two scheduled Preview Nights (virtual) to review a proposed new middle school Core Literature title: WILDOAK by CC Harrington (Gr 7 - Extended).

The Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) Special Education Leadership as well as Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) through the Ventura County Office of Education (VCOE), hosts a variety of events designed to support parents, guardians, and caretakers of students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). These events provide valuable resources, strategies, and connections to enhance each student's educational journey and foster meaningful collaboration among families, educators, and support providers. Join us to learn more about programs, services, and ways to support your child's unique learning needs. The below flyer delineates those hosted by CVUSD, for CVUSD families as well as SELPA events.

Family participation and engagement is a key priority of the CVUSD. Our seven Advisory Councils and Committees meet regularly for vibrant discussions, informative presentations, relationship-building activities and more. These meetings are open to all members of our CVUSD community to attend. However, we understand that attending meetings in-person is not always possible.

The Conejo Valley Unified School District is pleased to announce that Syed Zaidi has been selected as the District’s new Director of Child Nutrition Services. Mr. Zaidi will join the CVUSD Leadership Team effective January 2, 2025.

Mr. Zaidi comes to the Conejo with a breadth of experience leading Child Nutrition programs, most recently serving as the Director of Child Nutrition for Keppel Union School District. CVUSD is excited to have the benefit of Mr. Zaidi’s expertise to further develop and lead the District’s child nutrition program.

Ahead of winter break, our Conejo Oaks Academy's post-secondary scholars served up freshly brewed coffee and holiday cheer at their annual Holiday Craft Fair! Students not only shared their creativity with handmade items for sale, but also honed essential life skills. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our scholars and celebrate their hard work!
