Framing & Behind the Scenes
February Progress Update
Welcome to the third rectory construction newsletter! These newsletters will come every few weeks as construction progresses to give a snapshot of what's happened and what's to come.
This month we saw the majority of the framing work completed. It's amazing how we went from a hole in the ground to a house in a matter of weeks! Each day brought significant visible changes to the property. Windows, the fireplace, and the shower molds were all installed in late February as well.
While all this was going on with framing, the plumbers began their rough-in work, beginning in the basement digging in the underground plumbing in preparation for the concrete to be poured in the basement and basement framing to be completed. Next up is the mechanical phase where we will see the progression from plumbing, HVAC, to electrical.
Behind the scenes, I've been working on finalizing our landscaping plan, security and camera systems, elevator and generator, and preparing the altar and tabernacle for the rectory chapel.
Enjoy this third edition of the Rectory Newsletter. I can't thank you enough for your interest, support, and prayers for this monumental project for our parish! We still have Prayer Plaque opportunities available if you're interested in contributing to ancillary rectory costs and other capital needs at the parish.
