Tuesday: Regular Schedule: Known meets in the LC at 7:15; Herff Jones on campus to take class ring orders from sophomores; V/JV Softball vs. Boaz; VG/VB soccer vs Springville

Wednesday: Odd Block: Cap and Gown Photos for Seniors - This is not mandatory, but an option for those seniors that would like a formal Cap and Gown photo. Details are below on the graphic. If you have questions, please see Mrs. Brewer. County Track Meet @ GCHS - Only students in good standing (No more than 5 unexcused absences and a 70 or higher in all classes) will be excused to attend and support. However, in order to be excused, you will have to sign in with an administrator by 10:00 and stay for the duration of the track meet. The first event begins at 10:00. You will have to sign out with an administrator as well in order to receive a School Activity excuse.

Thursday: Even Block: FCA meets in LC @ 7:15; Track meet @ Lincoln; 9B/JVB Soccer @ Prattville; V/JV Softball @ Douglas

Friday: Regular Schedule: Progress Reports Go Home; Blood Drive - See Mrs. Fry or Nurse Reeves for more information; Special Olympics; Track meet @ Hewitt Trussville; VG/VB Soccer @ Douglas

We need your help with improving our school attendance! We need you at school everyday, on time, and please do not check out unless it is absolutely necessary! Everyday Counts!

If you are absent, please turn excuses into Mrs. Rich in the front office.

Did you know that the Alabama State Department of Education defines chronic absenteeism as any student that misses 18 days of school, regardless of whether the absence was coded unexcused or excused.

Our school attendance is an important part of our school report card, but more importantly, WE WANT YOU HERE AT SCHOOL WITH US!

Attendance Really Does Matters!

Procrastination means putting things off until the last minute. For example, when you put off studying for an important test until the night before, that's procrastinating. You can never get back time you have wasted, so you should take advantage of every moment to focus on what is most important. Benjamin Franklin once said, "Never leave till tomorrow what you can do today." Focus on getting the most important assignments done, and when you have finished, you can relax and enjoy the feeling of success!
