• The last day of school is a half day ending at 12:17 PM on June 12.

• FIFTH GRADE END OF YEAR INFORMATION

  GRADUATION: On June 12 at 10 AM we will celebrate fifth grade graduation at McGrath in the large gym. The doors will open at 9:40 AM for families. The fifth grade CLAP OUT ceremony will immediately follow graduation at McGrath, and then families can sign out their students with 5th grade teachers if they'd like.
  

  YARD SIGNS: There are still 10-15 yard signs for some of our 5th graders on the front lawn at McGrath. Please stop by to pick that up as soon as possible!
  
  

• TOMORROW NEEDS YOU: On June 10 our 5th graders will be hearing a guest speaker to recognize the importance of hope.
  
  

• DUCK TICKETS STILL FOR SALE
  

• Attention all Anderson & McGrath families:

  Duck Race Tickets are now available!

  Please help our community support the 30th annual Duck Classic Race by stopping by our Anderson & McGrath offices ASAP to buy your 2024 duck tickets.

  All money raised supports the GB Education Foundation, which provides grants to GB teachers to fund exciting classroom events, projects, and experiences.

  Donations: $5 per ticket (now available in our building offices) - you can buy as many as you'd like

  Duck Race details: Sunday, August 4, 2024 at 4 PM Thread Creek in Rust Park

  Prizes:

  • 1st prize: $500
  • 2nd prize: Chauffeured dinner for 4
  • 3rd prize: $100
  • 4th-7th prizes: $50
  • 5 random drawings for free oil change/tire rotation
  • A special drawing will be held for children present at the race!

  You don't have to be present at the race in August to win - but it's a lot of fun and we'd love to see our families there.

• READ TO A MILLION CHALLENGE
• Save the date and get ready to read! The Read to a Million Challenge is back beginning June 1 - August 31. Read to yourself, read to someone else, even a pet - or listen to an audio book. It all counts! Starting JUNE 1, log your pages HERE. Good luck!
  
  
• MEET UP AND EAT UP
• Beginning June 24, a free lunch will be served every day at McGrath Elementary in front of the school at 11:40 AM for anyone 18 and under. Please see this flyer with additional information.

• ANDERSON/MCGRATH OFFICE DATES/HOURS
• Beginning June 13, the Anderson and McGrath offices will be open from 8 AM - 3 PM until June 28.
• Both offices will be closed from June 28 - August 1.
• Both offices will reopen on August 1 at 8 AM.
  
  
• DOLLY PARTON'S IMAGINATION LIBRARY BOOKS FOR CHILDREN
• This program is new to Genesee County - families with children who are newborn to age five can connect with the Imagination Library to receive books each month for free.
• All registered children from birth to age 5 will receive a high quality age-appropriate book in the mail each month for free. THIS LINK walks families through the process of signing up.
