STARS FOOTBALL EXTRA POINTS
AUG 12TH - AUG 17TH
WHAT IS THE NEWSLETTER
I hope this message finds you well. As we dive into the heart of the football season, I’m excited to introduce a new initiative that will strengthen our team bonds and keep you informed: our Weekly Update Newsletter.
Here’s why this newsletter matters:
Transparency and Connection:
- Our goal is to foster open communication. The newsletter will provide insights into our team’s progress, upcoming challenges, and off-field initiatives. You’ll be in the loop, knowing what’s happening both on and off the turf.
Player Recognition:
- Each week, we’ll spotlight a player. These profiles go beyond stats—they celebrate character, work ethic, and dedication. Get to know the faces behind the helmets and cheer for their achievements.
Game Highlights and Strategies:
- Whether it’s a thrilling victory or a hard-fought battle, we’ll recap each game. Learn about standout performances, key plays, and areas for improvement. Plus, we’ll discuss upcoming opponents and our strategies to tackle them.
Community Engagement:
- Football isn’t just about the game; it’s about community. Our newsletter will highlight community service projects, academic achievements, and character-building activities. Our players are leaders both on and off the field.
Your Questions Answered:
- Have questions? Our Q&A corner is your chance to ask. Send in your queries, and we’ll address them in the weekly letter.
Remember, our team is a family—a tight-knit community bound by a love for the game. Let’s rally together, celebrate victories, learn from setbacks, and create lasting memories.
Thank you for entrusting your young athletes to our care. Their growth, both as players and as individuals, is our shared mission.
TRUE NORTH
Twelve years ago, our 2013 class developed the True North mentality. Each point on the 5-pointed star is recognized to represent one belief that our program will be built on. Each point on the star is equal to the one before it. The values of Leadership, Investment, Selflessness, Accountability, and Preparation make up our North Star. In the center of the completed stars lies the T.E.A.M. For the past eleven seasons and every moment in between, we have remained consistent in our steadfast belief in these five values. They are our "True North". These beliefs will be our compass in all we do as a program on and off the field. Much like the Northstar in maritime days, we will use our "True North" as the compass we will follow in the journey to the elite. I am proud of these words and what they mean. I have seen them transform lives, including my own. I hope you can share in our "True North" philosophy and discuss these values with your son or daughter as much as possible.

MESSAGE FROM THE COACH
Northstar Football Family,
Greetings from the friendly skies. I write to you from somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean, as my family and I return from our once in a lifetime trip to South Africa. I hope this respite from summer camp was what you needed in order to rest and recover before we step into this journey together. It is now time reconnect and recommit to our mission, vision and purpose as a football program. I for one and extremely excited to bring the newest version of Northstar football to your family. Over my two weeks away, we did many amazing things. Traveling abroad is always a learning experience. Being immeresed into a foreign land gives you great perspective on the different customs and norms of the area but is also showcases just how similar and connected we are as people. Values and behaviors lead the way no matter where you are and I will be sharing this message with our playes. Finally, during our trip we visited some of the most beautiful places in the world, saw amazing animals and ate delicious food, however, the best experience was getting to spend time with my 2 year old nephew Rusty. Family transcends state and country lines. Family is THE most important thing and it serves as a reminder, to me, that we are a football family. In the coming weeks and months we will be tested as a family unit and it will be more important than ever to rely on our True North to guide us to victory both on and off the field. Excited is an understatement! Cannot wait to share in this journey with each and every one of you.
