Thunderbird Update

Hello Thunderbird Families,

This will be a short week due to Parent/Teacher conferences and Next Steps for incoming 6th graders. Conferences will be held Thursday, February 13th after school and Friday, February 14th in the morning from 8:30-12:00. If you haven't received a call and would like a conference, please call the school at 575-527-9475.

Open house for all high schools is Tuesday, February 11th @ 6:00. I encourage all 8th grade students and their families to attend open house for your zoned high school. It is a great opportunity to see what is being offered at the high school as well as meet some of the staff.

6th and 7th graders will be coming home with their course selection cards on Tuesday. Please take a few minutes to help your students choose their electives for the 2025-26 school year. Schedules are built based on student selections, so please remind them that they need to choose wisely as schedules won't be changed during the year. Please sign and have your students return the card to their advisory teacher by February 20th.

• February 11th - Course selection cards go home with current 6th & 7th grade students for the 2025-26 school year.
• February 13th & 14th - Parent Teacher Conferences and Next Steps (13th - 4:15-7:30 & 14th - 8:30-12:00) No School on the 14th
• February 14th - Interim Grades available in ParentVue
• February 17th - President's Day - No School
• February 18th - Educator Planning Day & Remote day for students
• February 20th - Course selection cards (current 6th & 7th graders) due with parent signature to Advisory teacher
• February 25th - Spring Band Showcase @ 6:00

• BUG Tutoring begins this week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Click the link below to register your student if you want them to stay after for tutoring. Tutoring runs from 4:00-5:00 in the library.

Progress reports will be printed and sent home through advisory every other Tuesday. They are due with PARENT/GUARDIAN signature by Thursday. Please see exact dates below.
