Principal's Message
Good evening Mira Loma Families,
Our ninth week of school was highlighted by Homecoming Week activities!
On Tuesday morning of this week, a group of students met in our Flex Space for LCAP Student Listening Sessions and shared information with district and site representatives about Conditions for Learning, Course Access, Engagement Opportunities, School Climate, and Student Outcomes at Mira Loma High School.
On Tuesday evening of this week, our Girls Flag Football team defeated Center High School 32-7. Our girls did an excellent job competing and they represented Mira Loma High School well. Great job ladies!
On Thursday morning of this week, our Students for Change group met in the Library. The meeting was filled with great collaboration, and I was amazed by our students and their passion for Mira Loma High School. I look forward to their partnership throughout the 2024-25 school year. Thank you to our Students For Change group for sharing your voices!
On Thursday evening of this week, I was able to attend my first Homecoming Float Building event at Mira Loma in the Quad. I was amazed by the dedication of each class as they worked together to decorate their floats and I am looking forward to seeing them on display during the Homecoming Football game on Friday evening. A great job by all classes building and decorating their floats!
Athletics as a whole are in full swing this week, with Cross Country, Girls Tennis, Girls Flag Football, Girls Volleyball, Football, Boys and Girls Water Polo, and Girls Golf all competing. Thank you to our student-athletes, coaches, and parents for your continued dedication and positive representation of Mira Loma High school. As our Fall Sports Season continues, our Winter Sports season is quickly approaching. Please be sure to begin scheduling your sports physicals now to ensure that athletes are cleared in time for participation.
We encourage families to continue to have discussions with your children about school safety and how to report if they have knowledge of a concern. Please see the yellow “Safety First” icon below for additional information about how to report a concern. We look forward to continuing our conversations about school safety and growing our partnerships with students and families, in an effort to keep our campus safe.
Our Lunchtime Intramurals are officially underway. If students are interested, please have them see Mr. Ashwell or Mr. Posner for more information about upcoming lunchtime activities.
Thank you for your partnership and dedication to Mira Loma High School and I wish you all a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Kaden Bahner

Volunteers Needed
Hello Mira Loma Community,
The 8th Annual Flat SAC Invitational is the largest cross country meet in our region and a favorite race for teams as far away as Fresno and Reno. With over 4,000 athletes, coaches, spectators, and volunteers like you, it is the largest event hosted by Mira Loma. In 2023, a record 124 teams with over 2,200 runners raced at Gibson Ranch. The numbers are trending higher this year.
Your help is needed to construct the start and finish area, set the course, act as course monitors, direct vehicles for parking, and set up registration and volunteer tents. We need cyclists to lead and trail races and volunteers are needed to stuff race packets.
Enough volunteers are assigned so everyone can take breaks throughout the race day. Volunteers are not expected to work continuously. Most positions have natural breaks. Lunch will be provided for volunteers.
Please sign up to help. Your participation means so much to me, and the runners and coaches who attend.
Thank you for your support!
Coach Paul
