A Note From the Principal
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We had such a busy, festive week! This week's newsletter is full of photos and fun - make sure to check it out! Have a happy and safe break! We hope you enjoy this time with your families. We'll see you back at school on January 6, 2025!
Thank you,
Mathew Prezioso
Principal, Munson Elementary
Grinch Day Surprise!
What a Grinchy surprise we had on Wednesday! The Grinch greeted students as they came inside! Most of us THOUGHT it was Mr. Prez in the costume, but we were thrilled to find out it was actually Mrs. Ferguson! Mrs. Ferguson is a longtime Munson teacher who retired at the end of last year. We miss her very much! Mrs. Ferguson then read How the Grinch Stole Christmas aloud to each grade level - it was such a special treat to see her and hear her amazing reading voice again!
New Playground Equipment Unveiled! Thanks, PTO!
Singing at Maplewood Senior Living
Several third graders performed Christmas carols and holiday songs for residents at Maplewood Senior Living on Tuesday. It was such a special treat for the residents, and our students really brought the holiday spirit! Thank you to Mrs. Puterbaugh for organizing such a nice event.
Clinic Corner
We hope that everyone has a safe, healthy and happy holiday season! Here are some reminders/recommendations for our January return to school. To prevent exposing other students and staff unnecessarily to illness, it is recommended that a student does NOT come to school if he/she has the following symptoms:
- vomiting and/or diarrhea
- an undetermined rash
- a temperature of 100.0 or greater within the last 24 hours
If a student must leave school due to illness, the parent/guardian is responsible for arranging transportation. If you are not available, the person you have designated on your student's emergency information in Infinite Campus will be notified to pick them up. Please have a plan in place in order for your child to be picked up as promptly as possible!
Thank you for helping to keep our school healthy!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Park and Mrs. Kolenich
