From Your School Counselor
Seniors who plan to attend college next year should complete the 2025-2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This is a requirement that helps determine student eligibility for grants, scholarships, and loans. The application is expected to open on December 1st.
Students interested in our ASCENT program will also be required to fill out the FAFSA this year. Reach out to our counselor, Kristi Dahlstrom, with any questions.

Sleep & Screen Time
Sleep is an important factor in a childβs educational success.
Children learn best when they have adequate sleep.
Not getting enough sleep is also associated with the onset of several chronic diseases including diabetes, obesity, and depression.
It may complicate disease management and outcomes.
On average, school-aged children should be sleeping for at least 10 hours per night, in their own bed, with no technology in their bedroom.
Technology in the bedroom can keep children from falling asleep and from allowing them to sleep deeply throughout the night.
This is true for adults also!
