A Message From Mrs. Carmody
Dear Fremont Families,
This was a fantastic week for our Fremont community! From Zumba on Wednesday to Multicultural Night on Thursday, and the joyful Kindergarten Sings on Friday, it’s been a week full of connection and celebration. Thank you for helping create such a vibrant and welcoming community for our school and families.
With gratitude,
Beth Carmody
Mrs. Roscoe visited Mrs. Perna's Kindergarten classroom to talk about the communication device, also called a talker. She showed them how it helps students express themselves. They learned how to use the talker during daily activities to support their communication and learning.
She also read Something to Say About My Communication Device to their class. The book helped them understand how the talker gives students a voice and allows them to share their thoughts. Mrs. Roscoe showed them ways to model words and encourage students to use the device in conversations. It was a great experience for Mrs. Perna's class!

Summer School Open Now!
⛱️Summer Adventures in Learning (SAiL) registration is still open until May 2nd! Please look through the entire SAiL catalog here.
🌞Summer Boost registration is open as well! This program connects your student with a teacher for Math and/or Reading support using familiar online tools we utilize throughout the year. The teacher monitors progress, sends encouragement, and offers office hours weekly. This program also works with any summer schedule; students work online at their own pace, asynchronously! (sign up here for SAiL and/or Boost)
🌞Summer Scholars is an invitation-only program. Original invitations were sent by your student’s teacher. As some decline, we will extend this invite to students on our waiting list. Keep an eye out for your invitation and be sure to register using the link in your email as soon as you can. We ask this in order to allow enough planning time for a family on the waiting list, should you not claim the spot.
🌻Multilingual and ESY program invitations have also been sent via email or phone call. Please also indicate your transportation needs when confirming your spot with your teacher.
Please reach out to Alana Davidov, adavidov@fsd79.org, Fremont Intermediate School Assistant Principal, for help or questions about Summer Boost, Summer Scholars, and SAiL!
Please reach out to Tegan Dittmer, tdittmer@fsd79.org, for any questions related to Extended School Year or Multilingual programming.
