1. A parent or guardian must call 262-692-2453, Ext. 400, to report the absence. Voicemail messages may be left 24 hours a day.

2. For your student’s safety, non-reported absences will be followed up by a call home made by school office personnel.
3. In order to participate in a game, event or practice, the student must be in school for the entire school day, unless excused in advance by the principal.
   

Students who become ill during the school day are to report to the high school office.A health room is available in the office for use by students.A student will be allowed 20 minutes in the health room. After 20 minutes the student will be required to return to class or be sent home with parent/guardian permission. Students should not call home to be picked up without first reporting to the office.

Our school wants to keep students engaged in their work. Some students are behind and need to catch up on missed work, complete retakes, and catch up on assignments. We have created a structure that gives time and teachers to get students the time and support they need. During the last week of school before break, we are holding a WORK WEDNESDAY (12/20) for all students who are on our list. If your student is “on the list” for missing work/makeup work, students and families will both be emailed.

Students will be expected to stay on WEDNESDAY 12/20 during typical early release (1:50 - 3:30). If your student has work study or Senior Block, they will be expected to attend and notify their employers. This serves as advance notice of 2 weeks so that schedules can be adjusted.

FRIDAY 12/22 is the Incentive Day - All students are expected to attend school as it is a school day, but the day has some testing and fun built into it. In the morning, there is academic support and work being completed. In the afternoon there are fun activities, including Holiday Movie, Music, snacks, and activities. If your student is “in good standing” they are welcome to participate in the events of the day. If they are still missing work, they will be provided a supervised work space.

Any health or medication changes contact the District Nurse, Lori Loof by e-mail lloof@nosd.edu. If medication will be administered at school you must fill out an Authorization for Prescription Medication Form. Remember to get a physician signature on that form. It is required before any medication can be dispersed.
