HALLOWEEN PARADE AND COSTUME INFORMATION
Halloween Parade Information *PLEASE READ*
Students should come to school in costume! The Halloween Parade will start promptly at 8:55 am. If the weather cooperates, we will hold the parade outside, and parents may line up along the perimeters of the blacktops on the playground. If the weather is too cold, parents will line the perimeter of the gym.
Halloween Costume Reminders
- NO FAKE BLOOD OR WEAPONS OF ANY KIND. Students may wear masks during the parade and party. Students will be asked to change back into regular school clothing after the parade so please make sure students have clothing underneath for an easy transition.
- Parents MUST enter the building through the front door for class parties and sign in.
- Parents may choose to wear costumes to the party, however, please keep in mind that scary costumes are not appropriate for our school environment.
- Adults should not wear any type of mask as we need to be able to identify everyone in the building.

Be Ready for Weather Delays/Closures in DCSD
It seems crazy to talk about weather delays and closures when it's still 80 degrees outside! However, winter will be here before we know it. Douglas County School District takes the safety of our students, staff, parents, and community members seriously. Our district is huge - spanning approximately 850 square miles - and conditions can vary from one region to another. Because many of our families and staff travel across the school district, any weather delay or closure will apply to the entire school district (unless otherwise indicated). Read more about how weather delays and closures are determined in DCSD.
