Principal's Message
Dear Memorial Families and Caregivers:
I hope this message finds you and your family well. As we embark on another exciting school year, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the trust you place in us and to share some of the wonderful things happening in our school community.
We’ve had a smooth and positive start, and I’m proud to say that our students are already showing incredible engagement in both their academic and social-emotional development. We know that education is about much more than just academics, and we are deeply committed to nurturing the whole child. Our staff has been working thoughtfully to integrate social-emotional learning into everyday activities, helping students build the skills they need to navigate challenges, develop empathy, and foster healthy relationships.
On the academic front, teachers have hit the ground running with innovative lessons that stimulate curiosity and critical thinking. We’re focused on creating classrooms where every student feels valued and challenged, with support tailored to meet their unique needs. I encourage you to stay involved in your child’s learning journey—open communication between home and school is key to their success.
Safety is always a top priority, and we are continuing to implement and refine our safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for everyone. Regular drills, updated procedures, and a strong partnership with local authorities help us maintain a safe and welcoming campus. We just conducted our first safety drill this past Tuesday.
Lastly, as students settle into the rhythm of the school year, we are reinforcing routines and procedures that promote responsibility and independence and align with our core values. From arrival and dismissal to classroom expectations, these routines are important not only for creating an organized school day but also for helping students feel secure and confident in their environment.
Thank you for your continued partnership and for entrusting us with your child’s education. Together, we are building a supportive, inclusive, and thriving community. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your child’s progress, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Here’s to a wonderful school year ahead!
Warm regards
Troy
