Those of you who attended Wednesday's talent show can attest to this: we have a lot of talented students here at Irvington! Musicians, dancers, comedians, basketball stars...you name it, they can do it! I'm so proud of our students who felt comfortable getting up in front of hundreds of people and showing off their skills, and I'm already looking forward to next year's show!

Please join us for our last PTA General Meeting next Monday, June 3. We will celebrate this year’s accomplishments with a taco dinner, do some planning for next year, vote on the proposal to increase LSF spending this year, and vote on next year’s budget. Dinner is served at 5:30pm, the meeting begins at 6pm, and free childcare is available the whole time.

The last restaurant fundraiser night of the year is next Thursday, June 6, at Lazy Days Brewing Co. from 3-9pm. Located at 2326 N Flint Ave, Lazy Days offers fresh and hearty pub grub, from Detroit style pizzas to burgers and fries, with vegan and gluten free options. There's something for everyone in our neighborhood! This is a dine-in Only event with 10% of all dine-in sales being donated to Irvington School. Check out their menu here, and plan to come before or after Family Gym Night next Thursday!

The last Family Gym Night is next Thursday, June 6, from 5:30-7:30pm. Bring the whole family to the Irvington School Gym for music, organized games and free play. Enter through the gym doors at the back of the school and knock loudly when you arrive. All kids should have a supervising adult present. Questions? Email familynight@irvingtonschool.com.

Our final spirit day, on Friday, June 7, is rainbow day, and here are the class assignments:

We will host our final dinner/meeting for Families of Students of Color on Wednesday, June 5, from 5:30-7:00pm. Even if you've never come to a meeting before, I encourage you to join! Free food and free childcare!

The Equitable Giving Circle is hosting its annual Juneteenth celebration at Irvington this year on Saturday, June 8! Please see the details below and note that this is an affinity space for families of color.
