Principal Ponderings
We are in the home stretch. Thank you for your partnership and support during one of the best weeks of the school year. Our teachers and staff felt loved and supported with all of the wonderful appreciation festivities this week. We were thankful for your attendance and enthusiasm at STEM Night. What a wonderful way to culminate the year together as a school community. Please check out all of the photos below.
We had the official Unity Ranch Ribbon Cutting ceremony on Friday. Unity Ranch is a playground, where all children are able to explore the joys of play together, regardless of their abilities, and is a space where every child feels welcome, connected, and united. We appreciated having GCPS Superintendent Dr. Watts, School Board Member Dr. Mary Kay Murphy, Mayor Hembree, and all five Sugar Hill City Council Members in attendance. Our most important guests were our Friend to All award winners. This award celebrates champions of unity, who are inclusive in nature and create safe spaces where others feel seen, heard and valued. I am so proud of the difference they are making in our school. The Friend to All award will be given out each semester going forward.
In Partnership and Service,
Stacey Pickett
