We had a great first week back to school after winter break! It was wonderful to see all of our students again. It seems many of them hit a growth spurt over the past two weeks and are now several inches taller!

Looking ahead, we are excited to host our Family Fitness Night this Thursday at 6 PM. This is always a fun event filled with fun activities and prizes. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy some quality time with your family while staying active. We hope to see you there!

Additionally, the Oak Park and River Forest Infant Welfare Society will be hosting a dental clinic at Irving School on March 5th. If you wish to sign your student(s) up for this clinic, please click the link below to complete the highlighted sections of the permission slip. You can send the completed forms to school with your student or drop them off at the main office. All forms are due by February 27, 2025.

As winter weather sets in, we’re noticing more families driving to school. Here are a few important reminders about the bus/drop off lane to ensure everyone’s safety:

• Please be patient and wait until the bus/drop off lane clears before unloading your children. Do not let your child out in the middle of the street; pull into the bus/drop-off lane instead.

• To keep the line moving efficiently, encourage your student to exit the car independently. If you need to assist them, consider parking on a nearby street and walking them to the school rather than using the drop-off lane.

• Always pull your car as far down the lane as possible before letting your child out. This allows more cars to enter the lane and reduces congestion.

Patience and safety are key as we navigate the drop-off process. Thank you for your cooperation and for prioritizing the well-being of all our students.
