Dolphin Weekly Waves
Week of July 1, 2024

Week of September 1, 2024
Happy Sunday West End Dolphin Pod Squad!
It was another great week to be a West End Dolphin! Running Club, Archery Club, and Boys with GRIT started this week, and our choir auditions were held all week long! Students CRUSHED the i-Ready Diagnositc Assessments for Math and Reading, and we hosted our Annual Title I Meeting! Every member of the Dolphin Superpod has earned this long, Labor Day Break! We hope this time off allows for you to spend time with your child resting, relaxing, and enjoying the last few moments of summer.
Running Club for 3rd-5th Grade Parents--Students must be dropped off in the car line in time to walk to the exit door in the back of the building with Mr. Stanitzek by 7:30 to participate. Students dropped off at the crosswalk and not following safety procedures will not be allowed to participate. Thank you for helping us keep our students safe!.
Please read through the updates below and contact the front office with any questions or concerns.

September is Attendance Awareness Month!
During the month of September, we will be working to improve attendance school wide. We have some special spirit days planned throughout the month! Please see those below...this will be so much fun!
Also each homeroom is working toward a goal of having perfect attendance enough times to spell out the word ATTENDANCE letter by letter outside their classroom door! Thank you, parents, in advance for helping your child get to school each day...we appreciate your efforts!

In Case You Missed It- "Parents as Leaders"
In case you missed it, Mrs. Simpson shared information with parents last week in this presentation. We discussed tips for using Schoology as well as creating a Family Mission Statement and what "Big Rocks" are. After looking over the presentation, please reach out to her if you have any questions.
We still need more PTA Volunteers!
We have a short list, but would love to have you complete the form by clicking this link if you are interested in helping our PTA! Our first meeting will take place very soon- more details to come!
