Dear Dolvin Families,

It has been so great to welcome our students back to a new year at Dolvin! I hope that you all had a restful and enjoyable break filled with memorable moments with loved ones. As we kick off the semester, I am excited for the opportunity for all our students to learn to their full potential. Our staff will continue to work on our mission of educating every student to be a responsible, productive citizen. I want to thank all our families for the support, communication and collaboration they provide and encourage you to stay involved and connected with us throughout the year. Friday, January 24th, is our 100th Day of School Celebration! We will be celebrating 100 fabulous days of learning by dressing up as if we are 100 years old! It is not required that students dress up, but we would love to see a lot of participation!

Remember to keep it fun and simple. We’re excited to see everyone’s costumes!

We have concluded our 18-week Continuous Achievement review. If your child qualified for a placement change for the 2nd Semester, you received a letter, email, or phone call from Ms. Halron in December. If you have any questions, please reach out to Carrie Halron at Halron@fultonschools.org.

Happy New Year! It is once again time for our Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition. Entries are due to Ms. Halron no later than Wednesday, January 29th. We can't wait to see what our young Dolphins submit! Please see the attached documents for specific directions, rules, and entry forms. We are so excited to be bringing Girls on the Run back to Dolvin this year! Each season, Girls on the Run creates a safe and fun place for girls of all abilities to make new friends, new healthy habits and new memories. Registration for the spring Girls on the Run season is now open!

If you or someone you know has a girl interested in participating in the fall season, lottery registration is open through 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29th. Practice begins the week of February 10 and will be Monday and Wednesday 2:30-4:00.
