Team Time｜Each day, twenty minutes is protected to provide core teachers with the flexibility to address the diverse, personalized learning needs of students. This time is not unstructured free time for students, and must be used intentionally to remediate, accelerate, and/or enrich student skills. (MTSS: Tier 2 Instruction) On some occasions, this time may be utilized to support digital portfolio work. Teachers and students are expected to be actively engaged in data-driven, relevant, and rigorous academic tasks during this valuable time. TIPS for PLTs

Step 1: Determine annual priority (power) standards and competencies within your content PLT. What are the 'big rock' competencies/standards that are most integral to a student's success in your content area?

Step 2: Review and analyze standards-aligned and skill-specific student data within content PLTs.

Step 3: Share your content area's priority (power) standards and data within your core PLT.

Step 4: Determine priorities within your core PLT and map out a plan to address each priority by week(s). Create rosters for each teacher that are driven by skill and desired outcome(s).

Step 5: Provide explicit and relevant instruction that is personalized to each grouping's needs and progress monitor.

Step 6: Share data within PLTs to determine next steps.
