November Family News
November 2024
Happy November!
Dear Pine Ridge Families,
I would like to take a moment to remind everyone of the crucial role our front office staff play in ensuring the safety and well-being of all our students. As part of our commitment to keeping our school secure, our staff will ask visitors to present identification and will only release students to individuals listed in PowerSchool. This policy is essential for safeguarding our students and applies to all families equally, with no exceptions. Please make sure that names and contacts that are in PowerSchool match up exactly to identification.
Our front office team is dedicated to maintaining a safe environment and treats each family with respect and care. We kindly ask that everyone remain courteous when interacting with them, as they follow these important protocols. By working together and respecting these procedures, we can ensure that all our students remain safe and our school remains a welcoming place for everyone.
Lastly, we ask that families do not enter the office area unless directed by our front office staff. We often students, families and/or staff in our office and we want to maintain confidentiality while interacting with them.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Warm regards,
Yvonne Babb-Murray
Weather is Changing!
Regular daily school attendance is a critical factor in school success. Students who are chronically absent from school are at risk of falling behind in academic learning. Poor attendance in early grades can influence whether children read proficiently by the end of third grade. By sixth grade, chronic absence can be a predictor of whether a student is at risk for dropping out of school. Help us meet our goal of having every child in school every day. If your family anticipates an issue with attendance this year, please reach out to our office and we will make a plan to ensure your student gets to school.

Breakfast Reminder!
The cafeteria opens at 7:30 for breakfast. Please do not drop off your students before then as there is no supervision prior to 7:30.
Thank you!
