Instructional Technology Essential Programs Overview
New to RCS or just need a refresher? Come learn the basics of essential programs like Clever, Edlio, and Office 365 to support traditional and distance learning instruction. We will also demonstrate our learning management platforms, Kiddom and Microsoft Teams, so that you can have an idea of which program you would like to use (more training will be available).

Edlio: Teacher Webpages Made Easy
Edlio is an easy to use, consistent communication tool that provides parents and students the option subscribe to the teacher’s website and receive push notifications. Teachers can update their webpage from any device. In this session, teachers will create a page, update their profile, add assignments to their class calendar, build picture or video galleries, and more. Teachers will be amazed at how easy and fast this communication process can be.

Creating Formative Assessments in Mastery Connect
Mastery Connect is a versatile platform that allows teachers to track student mastery of critical skills. Teachers can upload existing assessments and create an answer document, quickly score paper/ pencil tests by creating an answer key and providing students with bubble sheets or use the CASE/CERTICA item banks purchased by RCS (Rutherford County Schools) to create standards aligned assessments. In this session the participants will:
- Review tracker basics
- Create and share an assessment with Mastery Connect.
- Review steps to administer an assessment in Mastery Connect
- Review accessing and analyzing key reports

Exploring Microsoft Accessibility Tools for Students with Disabilities
Microsoft has many features and tools that can assist students with a variety of disabilities, including vision, hearing, speech, and reading disabilities. If you work with special needs students at all, you can benefit from learning about these features! Participants will learn how to use accessibility tools that are built into the Windows 10 operating system and the Microsoft Office 365 Suite. Tools highlighted in this session include Windows 10 Ease of Access settings, Immersive Reader, Dictate, and Office Lens.
