The Viking Culture this year is to "Win the Day". We challenge all students and staff to pick 1 goal each day to accomplish. When you have succeeded with that 1 goal, you have "Won the Day!"

Here are a few ways to "Win the Day"

• "Flip the Script" on struggles/challenges and make them successes!
• Follow "Kaizen" - strive for continuous improvement each day!
• "Be Kind" - smile, say hello, look out for your fellow vikings! Remember - everyone is going through a battle we may not know.. Be Kind Always!

In order to finish strong for the 2024-2025 school year, Cerro Villa is encouraging students and staff to "Level Up" for the remainder of the year. "Leveling Up" means being better than we were in the beginning of the year. As we accumulate our "Win the Days", we are "Leveling Up"!

Cerro Villa is so fortunate to have Ms. Fernandez as our "Favorite Assistant Principal"! She always is looking out for the best interest of students and creating a positive and caring culture at CV. Thank you Ms. Fernandez!

On Wednesday, CV celebrated 315 students who earned a 3.5 gpa or higher to earn Principal's Honor Roll for the 2nd Trimester! That's 43% of our student body who earned 3.5 or higher!! Way to Win the Trimester! Students earned an extra 15 minutes of lunch and received some yummy treats!

Villa Park High School hosted the annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday! PFSO President Elect, Mrs. Paul and Mr. Jones were able to support VPHS while promoting CV and PFSO! CV also received a certificate from Congresswoman Young Kim. The VP community event included OUSD Board Trustees, VP Rotary members and VP Principal McCuiston.

The Wellness Center will be hosting the mental health awareness art challenge. CV is fortunate to have the Assistance League sponsor the challenge thru their annual grant. Our top three winners will receive an art basket valued at $50.

The Orange County Sheriff Department will present "the Parent Project". The parent project curriculum offers parents concrete, no nonsense interventions and solutions to reduce and manage difficult behaviors.

Community Science Night Returns!

We're back again! Come to Community Science Night at Santiago Canyon College and enjoy all the amazing science experiments, projects and exhibits! Make some instant snow, dissect a squid, complete a LEGO build, look for gems, investigate all kinds of things and so much more! We can't wait to see you there for this fun family event!

Dear OUSD Families,

We are thrilled to once again to offer the Santiago Canyon College “College for Kids Summer Program” for current Orange USD students in grades K-12! This free program provides fun, interactive, and engaging classes designed to support academic growth, close learning gaps, and offer rigorous enrichment opportunities. Each OUSD student may register for one free class. Space is limited, and registration will close once classes are full.

The bi-annual poker night hosted by Villa Park Elementary Dad's Club is happening on Saturday, April 26th at 7pm at Villa Park City Hall.
