Can We Beat Our Own Record?
After our fall fundraiser, the South Elgin Culver's told us we earned more money than any other school in their restaurant's history. So let's do it again! Please join us for a night of food, family, friends, and of course friendly staff (our Anderson teachers!).
Our annual kick off to Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week!
Teacher Appreciation Week - Let's show them we care!
GUESS WHO our favorite teachers are!
Anderson Artists! We need your contribution to make staff appreciation week a success. This year, to go with our gaming theme, we would love for you to create a fun portrait of a favorite staff member - along with several CLUES for everyone to GUESS WHO you drew! Prizes will be awarded to the most creative entries.
Coloring sheets should be coming home with all students and turned in to teachers or the front office by Monday, April 28. Additional sheets can be picked up in the main office.
Look for all portraits to be displayed on the bulletin boards around the school during teacher appreciation week! Thank you in advance for sharing your creative appreciation for our stellar staff.

Family Picnic Day! Monday May 19th
Anderson Families,
You're all cordially invited to join us at Anderson Elementary for our delightful Family Picnic on Monday, May 19th. Below, you'll find the designated times for each grade level to enjoy their picnic lunches outdoors.
Students can bring a packed lunch from home, order from the school cafeteria, or eat the picnic feast their family brought. We encourage you to bring along a cozy blanket (or camping chairs if you prefer) to make the experience even more enjoyable.
During the picnic, students have the wonderful opportunity to dine with their friends' families and teachers, creating cherished memories together.
Upon arrival, kindly check in at the Welcome Table located at the rear of the school to sign in and receive a visitor sticker.
Picnic Schedule:
Kinder and 1st Grade: 11:12-11:52
4th and 2nd Grade: 11:55-12:35
3rd and 5th Grade: 12:38-1:18
We look forward to sharing this special day with you and your families!

iReady Spring Diagnostic This Week!
The end of year i-Ready diagnostic assessment is scheduled for students to take over the next two weeks at Anderson. (April 29-May 8) This end of year check is one measure of how students made progress towards their end of year growth goal. After the diagnostic assessments, your child will receive an update to their lessons assigned under the personalized pathway (MyPath). MyPath will be available to students through July. Student Information Considerations for 2025- 2026 Class Rosters
Parents/Guardians... Your input and information about your child is important.
In planning for the upcoming school year, parents are invited to provide information that will assist us in the class placement process. Since every learner is unique, our goal is to pair each learner with an environment that maximizes his or her potential. Therefore, balancing classrooms based on student needs or talents, learning styles, and personalities are all factored as we compile class lists. As you can imagine, this is a complex process and a very important one.
We welcome any information that you would like to provide about your student in order to assist in making the best possible placement. Because of the many factors considered when putting a class roster together, requests for specific teachers will not be accepted. Clearly defining the needs of your child will be most helpful in making a good classroom assignment.
This information must be submitted by May 2nd, 2025.
Returning Student Registration opens on April 21st
