Thinking ahead: You can share Sora Sweet Reads lists with teachers now
Sora Sweet Reads Runs from May 12 to August 25 this year :)
OverDrive has announced their Sora Sweet Reads ebooks and audiobooks that will go live May 12 (This collection will be "simultaneous use", meaning that everyone in our region can pick the same titles at the same time if they want to.) This temporary collection has nearly 200 titles this year, and they have already created TeachingBooks Lists of these titles that you can share now with your teachers! Teachers may want to browse these lists in TeachingBooks to see if there's anything they'll want to do with whole classes in May and June, or to encourage their students to read and listen over the summer. Check these out!

Use Reports to Keep Track of ILL Info (TLC and Destiny libraries)
Not sure what's coming or going? Try these reports to help you keep track. (You can run them daily.) LS2 Reports are available to all of our schools. Email Karin if you need a reminder about your Reports login.
1. Holds by Borrowers or Titles
NEW 3/31: Try "Holds by Borrowers or Titles--All current holds option" (this one can be scheduled)
- Example: I requested a bunch of copies of Superfudge on Friday. Today I can pull up this report to remind myself which borrower in my building requested the title, how many copies I borrowed, and the statuses of the books (sort of). It's not perfect, but it helps me keep track of who requested what. (And yes, we are talking with TLC regularly about how "in transit" is vague, and we've been suggesting improvements.)
2. Intra-Location Items Checked Out
- I can't remember what items I have sent to other schools that are still floating around out there. This report shows me instantly what is still "out" to other locations.
3. Holds Pull List by Holdings Codes
- This report tells me if anyone has requested ILLs that I need to go pull and send. (And if I can't, I can see the location, so I can email that location to ask them to cancel the request. Soon we will have a decline button, but it's not there yet.)
- I believe, once you fill requests and run this report again, you will no longer see the ones that have been tackled. I think you only see the ones that haven't been addressed yet.
Customizing book jacket "carousels" in LS2 PAC (TLC users only)
Did you know you can customize what you see when you go to your PAC landing page?
Try this!
If you are annoyed that occasionally titles show up in a PAC that aren't yours (e-resources occasionally do that, and we don't yet understand why), you can customize a search so that only your titles show up.
Scribe directions for creating carousels (and filter out what you don't want)
