Student Handbook
CLICK HERE for the 2024-25 Student Handbook (clic para espanol ).
Each year, the Student Handbook is updated and provides basic information on important matters such as curriculum, discipline, student health, parent-teacher conferences and more. Help your child have a successful school year by becoming familiar with the information in this handbook and discussing it with your child as appropriate. This handbook is based on Board Policy with relevant policy sections noted in parentheses. Parents are encouraged to review Board Policy, which is provided in a searchable format. The Board of Education reviews and amends its policy regularly; if the policy differs from information in this handbook, Board Policy takes precedence.

Little Miss Ann Visits Forest Glen School
Little Miss Ann is a local children's musician that performed a full set of interactive songs for Forest Glen's preschool and kindergarten students. This performance was hosted by Forest Glen's Digital Literacy Specialist Mrs. Callicoat as a fun way to welcome the youngest learners to our school with singing, dancing, clapping, and even counting! The room was filled with sound, smiles, movement, and culture. Miss Ann entertained and engaged the audience with her box drum, guitar, anecdotes, and singing.

The Power of Music
~Wellness tips provided by D41 School Nurse Mrs. Dibadj, PEL-CSN
Did you know music can make positive changes in your brain? Music can improve your cognitive performance (which helps your brain function better). Music can reduce stress, improve your memory, help manage pain, improve motivation, improve your mood, and improve endurance and performance. Music might reduce the symptoms of depression and help you sleep better too. Music has the power to inspire and entertain, but it also has powerful psychological effects that can improve your health and well-being. Instead of thinking of music as pure entertainment, consider some of the major mental benefits of incorporating music into your everyday life. You might find that you feel more motivated, happy, relaxed, and healthy as a result.
