A Message From the Principal
Good afternoon,
Balancing all the classes that a middle schooler takes can be tricky. At the start of the year, we have prioritized executive function lessons during our Flex class. Students will learn about time management and utilizing their assignment notebook to keep track of due dates for projects, assessment dates, and homework. One item you will see in students' assignment notebook is MAP Accelerator. Students have weekly goals for MAP Accelerator use, which are assessed as a Habit of Success in Teacherease. MAP Accelerator is a personalized learning tool that uses the student's individual strengths and areas of improvement to build a learning path. Students should be using MAP Accelerator independently, as there are videos and other lessons built into the program that help students in their understanding of math concepts.

All students were tested in English language arts and mathematics.Your student's assessment reports will be mailed home and should arrive this week. Mundelein HS - Home Football Games
Message from Mundelein High School Athletic Department
At our home football games last year there were a large number of younger (middle school aged and younger) children playing unsupervised. We are going to monitor the games and if necessary, we will institute a policy where non high school aged children will not be allowed into the stadium without a supervising adult and limit it to five children with one supervising adult.
Securly - Parent Portal
Parents/guardians previously signed up for the parent portal, should have access to review their students Chromebook use. Those who have not registered received a "Welcome to Securly” email from noreply@securly.com to complete your registration. Registered parents/guardians will receive weekly activity reports, offering a snapshot of their child’s internet use on the school-issued device. Please reach out to the Director of Technology, Craig Albers, at calbers@fsd79.org if you have any questions or log in issues.
Early Pick-Up Procedures
If your student needs to be picked up early, please notify our main office at 847-566-9384 or send an email to the receptionist, Karolina O'Malley, at komalley@fsd79.org. A parent/guardian or designated person must present identification to pick a student up early. Please note that the latest pickup time is 2:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and 1:30 PM on Wednesday. Parents cannot park in handicapped parking spots near the gym as it interferes with bus pick up.
