BGPC Update: Committee Presents Bond Package to AISD Board
During Thursday's Special Board Meeting, members of the Bond & Growth Planning Committee presented the bond proposal to the AISD School Board.
The community-led BGPC reconvened for two meetings this fall and constructed a bond proposal that includes new construction, capital improvements, land, buses and technology. This was an information only item that was presented to the School Board.
Committee Members Josh Combs (pictured) and Randy Fite presented the proposal along with Argyle ISD Athletic Director Todd Rodgers, who discussed the proposal for a baseball/softball facility at AHS in Canyon Falls.
The district will share more information about the bond proposal and the board video on Friday.

Message from Argyle ISD Campus Nurses
As we are experiencing cold and flu season across the area, we want to provide our Argyle ISD parents with some reminders regarding illness protocols.
To help control the spread and keep our students and staff healthy, we kindly ask for your cooperation in keeping your child home if they are experiencing any of the following symptoms:
Fever 100°F or higher – Your child may return to school once they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication (including but not limited to Tylenol, Advil, DayQuil, and multi-symptom cold medications).
Please do not medicate your child with fever-reducing medication and send them to school. If you need to give your child Tylenol or Motrin for a fever, they should remain home the following day.
Vomiting or diarrhea – Students may return after being symptom-free for at least 24 hours.
Persistent cough or other symptoms that significantly impact their ability to participate in daily classroom activities.
Contagious illnesses – If diagnosed with a contagious condition (such as strep throat or pink eye), your child should remain home for at least 24 hours after starting antibiotics, as directed by a healthcare provider.
When can my child return to school?
Your child may return when:
- Symptoms are improving, and they feel well enough to participate in normal activities.
- Fever-free for at least 24 hours without fever-reducing medication.
- At least 24 hours since the last episode of vomiting or diarrhea.
- Completed at least 24 hours of antibiotic treatment if prescribed.
If your child is sent home due to fever, vomiting, or diarrhea, they must remain home for at least 24 hours before returning. If they return before the required 24-hour period, the school will call you to pick them up.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our Argyle ISD school community safe and healthy!
